Sales Policy For All Animals
Please read this page in its entirety before purchasing an animal from us. By purchasing an animal from us, it is assumed that you have read and agree to these policies in their entirety.
Due to our micro-farm size, we can't keep all of our kids born and so we generally have goat kids for sale every year in Spring, Summer, and Fall. We have puppy litters once a year. And we hatch chicks from Spring to Fall. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have and please feel free to visit the corresponding Animal Wait-list below to add your name and contact info so that we can reach out to you when your name is up on the wait-list.
Once the requested animals are born, we like to wait 2-4 weeks to ensure the health of the animal before listing for sale. Once animals are ready to be listed, we work out way down the wait-list from top to bottom. If your name comes up and you are no longer interested, we will remove your name from wait-list, if you are not ready, we will re-file your name in the wait-list for next litter/kidding/hatching. If you are ready to reserve one of the animals, we ask for $100 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to remove the animal from the market. We give you 24 hours after notification to send deposit before we move to the next on the wait-list. Deposits are accepted via Zelle, Paypal, Venmo, and Cash.
Once a deposit is sent, it is non-refundable, and generally non-transferable from animal to animal. If for some reason that animal becomes unavailable due to medical issues, your deposit can at that point, be transferred to a different animal, or be returned to you.
Animal pick up dates will be assigned once deposit is made and the new owner is expected to pick up animal within 2 weeks of pick up date. After that time a boarding fee of $10 per day will apply until 30 days. If at 30 days no pickup arrangements have been made, the deposit will be forfeited, and the animal will be put back up for sale. Special arrangements can be made for a time extension, but must be pre-approved, and a date set before the 30 day period ends. Animals can not leave the farm earlier than the date decided by us, NO exceptions.
PLEASE DO NOT place a reservation on a specific breeding if you are looking for a certain size animal, coat color, coat length, or eye color. We DO NOT breed for specific characteristics, we breed for dairy goat conformation, and to preserve our heritage breeds.
We DO NOT take responsibility for the health or well-being of an animal, after they have left the farm. ALL animals leaving the farm will be up to date on shots, and worming, and are presumably healthy. If you are concerned about the health of the animal you are purchasing from us, we encourage ALL buyers to do a pre-purchase exam, performed by a vet on our farm before the animal leaves the farm.
Every animal has its own sales policy / rehoming requirements, HOWEVER all new owners must sign contracts to return animals to our farm instead of dumping, taking to a shelter, or to an auction yard. This is a NON-NEGOTIABLE!
If an animal is being shipped, the buyer is responsible for all related shipping costs: crate, health certificate, and a $150 dollar fee to drop the animal off at the Airport. All air shipping is done from Sacramento International Airport, and the animal and shipping must be paid for before leaving the farm.
